Writers Workshop is very fun. We get alot of Writer Workshop because if you are not a good writer you will not sucseed in life. You need to learn about paragraphs, topic sentences, ending sentences, and how to write a story. We are learning about organization and we already learned about ideas & content. Organization is about writing fiction and not having your story jump all over. We can write about any thing we want to write about. I am writing a story called the Woodland Story. Writing is a 4 step prosess. 1: wright your story. 2: have an authers circle. 3:have a conference with Mrs. Anderson. 4:type your story on microsoft office. 5: do the prossess again.

The Jason Project runs, makes, and gathers data for the Monster Storms website. They study hurricanes, floods, tornados, heatwaves, supercells, and blizzards. The Jason Project is an organization that helps find, detect, and solve their bigest problem, stoping a Monster Storm. They use tools such as Ocean Probes, Aeosondes, P-3 Hurricane Hunters, Drop Sondes, and Satellights. The Jason project is here to help us find out how to be safe during a Monster Storm. Their biggest goal is to stop a Monster Storm for coming to earth.

Late start days are not only short, but sometimes even fun. Today we got a double period Phy-Ed class, we played football the whole time!! In science we learned about the Green house effect and more about our atomsphere. We also learned about how the sun light and heat travel to the earth. I can't wait till we have another late start day!!

The Monster Storm unit we are doing in science is very fun and interesting. Today, we learned what the difference was between the greenhouse effect and global warming. Studying this unit has made me think about being a scientist when I grow up. Mrs. Anderson said that soon we will do very fun experiments with wind, the sun, and other natural resources. I looking forward to it! I'm loving this way better than the metric system..... and I hope everyone else is too!

In language arts we have three new assignments to help us improve our writing and reading. We will blog after each school day. Before Christmas we need 12 points. The next assignments is to read a new book called The Porcupine Year. After each chapter we will write a reading log. The new assignments sound fun.

Porcupine Year is starting out to be a great book! It is about an Ojibwe family in 1850-1860 and is the third book in its series. The first two books are The Birchbark House and The Game Of Silence. It has event after event of tragedy and victory. My favorite charactor is Pinch beacause he is an energetic boy with alot of talent. This book will always have its special place in my heart.

Today at SJP was the best day ever. We went onto our e-mail and our art teacher e-mailed us our pictures to us. (We had taken in the early fall with digital cameras.) We picked out one that we liked and went onto photo shop. We changed the colering and the lineup so the picture was beter focased on what ever we wanted to focas on. After that we changed the visibility. That was all we had to today!

We all barried then and so today. It was all done in the back of the school near our special spots. Everbody took turns using the shovel to dig their graves. Some people said a couple of words for then, so, and very. After the barrings of the overusedwords we all put a pine brant on their grave spot. Walked away sadly singing "this little light of mine." I will always remember Then, so, and very.

Tuesday was very fun but the best thing was the burial. We got to go deep into the wilderness, or at least the woods behind the school with our dear friends, THEN, SO, and VERY. We each took turns digging into the ground and finally, we set then, so , and very to rest. We all said some thoughtful words to them after each putting a clump of dirt over their grave. Then, So, and Very, R.I.P.
