Today we went to the arboretum. We did a work sheet called " dichotomous tree key". This work sheet you had to identify the trees in the area. I thought it was really fun to work with pareners and figure the tree names out. Sarah is a great person and hopefully she will stick with us. We did 14 trees and here are a few :jack pine , red maple , quaking aspen , and more! We also had fun during recess the boys played kick ball the girs danced. Also fun.

There were big red mushrooms with white spots a little off the trail. Some were big and some were small. They were way cool!

I learned that a sientifical name for a birch is a paper birch! I belive those mushrooms were originaly transported from southern usa.

I learned that there was a tree called a black cherrie tree but there was no berries on it.
