OK, sixth graders. That's my view. Please add on your thoughts on what we've been up to lately! Thanks!
It has been awhile since we've written a blog entry. We have finished The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. We've started a new unit in science called Monster Storms. In social studies we will be creating websites for different chapters in our Minnesota history book. We've been out in the snow and have gone sledding down the hill. We are busy creating stories in Writer's Workshop. Today's group wrote for 40 minutes straight without any stopping. We've been very busy in 6th grade.
OK, sixth graders. That's my view. Please add on your thoughts on what we've been up to lately! Thanks!

Today was a good day. In Language Arts we did acrostic poems of the word "graveyard" on our graveyard rubbings. Reading the book The Graveyard Book was a really fun activity and I really enjoyed doing it. In art we went down to the art museum on campus. We got to see so much interesting art. I really enjoyed today.

The last week has been packed with fun and exitement. The new sience unit is cool beacausewe get to track storms on the internet and learn about hurricane tornodos ect. My favorite storm to learn about is a Dust bowl, A dust bowl is a dust storm where wind and sand wirls. Sometimes aroud half of the contenent. The Graveyard Book was one of the bestbooks ever beacause there are vampires, gohsts, hounds of God, and even includes the living people. Bod is a very devoted person to the dead. My favorite quote was "There are people to hug and there was Silas." If there is a secqual maybe a prequal I would definetly read them. Today we walked to the art gallery. There were painting that were so amazing that I could never forget any single one of them. This past week has been fun filled with so many thing it has been extremely hard to remember all of the little tiny details!

Today was awsome! The monster storm unit in science is the best thing in the univerce. {considering it is the Jason Project!} Even though we can't sled we still have a fun time outside. If we don't go outside we go to the boy's gym area and we play soccer. World Language is so fun (concitering it is Chhinese.) Study time is the best of the whole day because if we get our Math homework done we don't have to lugg our 5lb math book home. Writers workshop is the best part of the day because we are wrighting fiction. I am wrighting a story called The Woood Land Story. It is really long. For Art we went to an art gallery on campas and looked at paintings of all sorts of things.

I love everything in 6th grade, but are my favorite things. I love the Monster Storm unit in science! It is way more fun than the metric system. I think creating a website for social will be super fun! I loved The Graveyard Book; it was sort of freaky at first, but THEN ( which we will bury along with SO) it got way more fun and exciting. I excited to start the Pourcipine Year, I really want to know what happens to Omakayas. I read in the back of the Game of Silence that Pinch gets a new name..... I love learning about the Saints in theology, it's interesting to hear about their lives. I think everybody is enjoying their new language. I loved it when we W.W. today, we had so much time to write without a lesson. Well,I guess I love everything!
